Xenios (zē-nē-ōs) is derived from the ancient Greek concept of hospitality realized by a reciprocal relationship between guest and host.
That reciprocal relationship resonated to us as how a bank-fintech partnership could and should work. Fintech
companies and non-bank brands could create value by offering payment and banking products to their customers.
Banks could find new areas of growth by providing a regulatory infrastructure to their fintech guests.
Matt West | CEO
As the former Chief Strategy Officer at a publicly traded bank, Matt was responsible for architecting and building the business that grew from an idea to serving nearly a hundred fintech companies in five years. The task to cost-effectively scale the risk and compliance functions proved to be one of the biggest challenges he saw during that
time. In this challenge, he saw a new opportunity. He could combine his Systems Engineering learnings from previous experience working with NASA and his time leading Operations, Technology, Strategy, Project Management and Fintech.
Mike Carr | Head of Technology
Proficient technology executive with over 25 years of experience across fintech, healthcare, and consulting. Mike currently leads innovation and technology strategy. Previously, Mike held roles as VP of Software Development at Performance Ally, SVP of Sales Engineering at MVB Bank, and founder of Veritech Consulting Group, where he grew the business into a successful IT consulting firm. With expertise in fintech, data warehousing, and business intelligence, Mike has also advised on technology strategy at WVU Medicine and taught for over 20 years as an Adjunct Professor at West Virginia University. He is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems and drive business growth.
Steven Saab | Head of Operations
Experienced strategic, process, and technology consultant with firsthand understanding of working in heavily regulated industries. Steven spent 4 years at Deloitte as a technology consultant, working closely with Federal clients to maintain and modernize critical software systems across the world. Most recently, Steven served in several roles for MVB Bank focusing on program and project management, process efficiency, Board governance and reporting, and fintech client support.
